Our Management Team

The corporate staff at Ojai Oil Company handles property management, sales of petroleum products, purchases and sales of corporate properties, other investments, and corporate matters.

    Doug Off

    Raised in West Los Angeles, California. Attended Stanford University completing a BS in Petroleum Engineering with a minor in Economics from UCLA. Active duty as a Naval officer in the Vietnam war. Employed by Ojai Oil Company since 1968 and presently acting as corporate President and property manager of oil operations.

    David Edward

    Raised in London, England. Attended University of Southampton completing a BSC in Economics with a MBA from Durham University, England. Employed by Ojai Oil Company since 1992, and presently acting as corporate Vice President / Treasurer and senior property manager for all self storage property operations.

    Ryan Off

    Raised in Camarillo, California. Obtained an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management in The Netherlands and BA in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Ryan has a background in technology and business strategy. Ryan has worked on and off at Ojai Oil Company and recently here since 2011. He is presently acting as corporate Vice President / Secretary, director of technology, and new business manager.

    Sarah Monroe Allen

    Raised in Castro Valley, California. Employed by Ojai Oil Company since 2001 and presently acting as corporate assistant secretary/treasurer, office manager, and senior accounting manager.

    Shawn McPherson

    Raised in Ventura, California. Attended CSU Chico, completing a BS in Recreation Administration. Shawn has a varied background in the construction industry and property management. Employed by Ojai Oil Company since 2012 and presently acting as a district property manager.

    Shelly Walters

    Born and raised in Ventura, California. Over twenty-five years experience as a full charge bookkeeper. Employed by Ojai Oil in 2015 as accounting manager for seven self storage facilities.

    Roger Cook

    Raised in Clinton, Iowa. Attended Iowa State University, completing a BS in Math and Accounting and attaining his CPA. Employed part time by Ojai Oil Company since 2004 as accounting auditor and other accounting functions.

    Lucas O'Connor

    Born and raised in Camarillo, California. Obtained his BS in Business Administration from CSUCI in 2012. Hired originally as an intern starting in 2011, Lucas became a full time district property manager in 2017. During his time at Ojai, Lucas has worked behind the counter at nearly all of our self storage facilities and this brings a unique perspective to property management.

    Tracy Off

    Raised in Ventura, California. Attended UC San Diego, completing a BA in Psychology with an AS in Architectural Technology from Utah Community College. Tracy is presently acting as corporate Vice President / Secretary and manages our Upper Ojai land.

    Daniel Grewal

    Raised in Simi Valley, California. Obtained his BS in Computer Science from CSUCI. Employed by Ojai Oil Company since 2020. Currently manages most of the day to day technology and develops new tools and apps to help streamline workflows.

Our Board of Directors

  • Doug Off

    Doug has been on the Ojai Oil Board since 1978 having worked for the Company since 1966. His college degree is from Stanford University in Petroleum Engineering. Doug is married and lives in Camarillo, California. He presently serves as a volunteer on boards at Cal State Channel Islands and a local water company.

  • David Edward

    David joined the company in 1992 and was appointed to the board in 1997. He has a Msc in Economics from the University of Southampton, UK and an MBA from Durham University Business School, UK. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the American Marketing Association. He lives with his wife, Melanie, in Los Angeles and has two children in college.

  • Ryan Off

    Ryan began working full time for Ojai in 2011 and was appointed to the board in 2014. He obtained a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an MBA from Rotterdam School of Management in The Netherlands. He has reviously worked at Sun Microsystems, NCAR, digital ad agencies and start-ups. He has a background in technology and business strategy. He lives in Calabasas, California with his wife and their two young sons.

  • Dudley Muth

    Dudley has been a Board Member since 1973. A native of southern California, he holds a BA in Economics from Pamona College, an MBA from UCLA in Accounting and his JD degree from USC. In his early career he specialized in oil and gas and real estate taxation with Arthur Andersen & Co. Since the mid-1980s he has concentrated on legal and compliance work for several broker-dealers and investment advisory firms. He is a Director of the Chancellor Group, an oil & gas company, and a Moderator for his church. Dudley is married and lives in Redondo Beach, California.

  • Steve Richardson

    Steve has been on the Ojai Oil Co. board since 2005. His education includes a BS in Geology from UCLA and a MS in Geology from SDSU. He is a California licensed Professional Geologist working as a consulting geologist since 1989 serving both the petroleum and environmental industries in California.
